A website about everything Blizzard
Blizzard has seven locations, four of which are located in the United States, and 13,000 employees. The other three are located in Seoul, South Korea, Sydney, Australia, and Taipei, Taiwan. Each of the seven locations, while allowing people in many different regions to work within Blizzard, each have their own perks. For instance, their campus in Austin, Texas has food trucks around regularly, a basketball court, and a gaming/lounging room. There are also campuses like the one in Boston, Massachusetts or Irvine, California’s that house the World of Warcraft team.
When it comes to games, Blizzard values quality over quantity. They are committed to their games’ gameplay, user experience, and connectivity. Each game is designed to make the players feel the emotions of the characters through the art and voices hand picked for each character. Most importantly, Blizzard takes each opportunity to grow and create a positive example within the gaming community.
Blizzard uses mostly in-house software to develop their games. This means most of the tools they use are only for their development teams to use, but there is some public software they use. For example, 3D design tools Maya and 3ds. These are both powerful tools that the design team in Blizzard use to animate characters and environments in their games. Tools that anyone can use!
Blizzard has created many iconic games like Overwatch, Diablo, and Warcraft. Each game has different gameplay and worlds inside them filled with unique and loveable characters. These worlds and characters are beloved by many fans for their design, gameplay, personality, and in depth stories. Designed to entertain and engage, each game is a story told from Blizzard to each player.
